Dhivehi Interfaces & Accessibility

We improve websites and forms so Dhivehi and English work together, with clearer layouts and better keyboard and screen-reader access.

When would I need this?

Your website or form is difficult to use in Dhivehi and English, text or numbers appear in the wrong order, or people have trouble navigating with a keyboard or screen reader.

What will I receive?

  • A review of reading order, typography and form behaviour
  • Mixed-script layouts and accessible components
  • Keyboard, contrast and screen-reader improvements
  • A documented test set and guidance for future content

What we need from you

  • Representative English and Dhivehi content
  • Access to the current interface and its intended tasks
  • A competent language reviewer for final wording

How we work together

  1. Identify the journeys and script requirements
  2. Review barriers and agree priorities
  3. Implement and test with real content
  4. Document remaining limits and content guidance

A clear scope from the start

We agree deliverables, responsibilities and pricing after understanding the work. There is no fixed package price until the scope is clear.

  • Language accuracy needs qualified human review.
  • Accessibility is evaluated against an agreed scope; no blanket certification is implied.

Localisation lives in the details

A Thaana heading is only one part of a usable interface. Names, phone numbers, dates, punctuation and English product terms may share the same line. We look at direction, spacing, labels, error messages and the reading order of the whole task.

Test the task, not just the typeface

We use representative content and practical journeys: completing a form, correcting an error, finding a control with a keyboard and checking a document after export. The review produces specific fixes and a repeatable set of examples for future changes.

Does this include translation?

We can scope content preparation and implementation, but final Dhivehi wording needs a competent human language reviewer. We agree that responsibility at the start.

Can you improve a site without rebuilding it?

Often. An initial review can identify changes to structure, styles and controls that fit the existing system. The extent of the work depends on access and the platform’s limits.

Will every exported document behave identically?

Browsers, fonts and PDF viewers differ. We test the agreed formats and devices and explain any limitations, including when text is rasterised to preserve its appearance.
